Hadji Fatgiyah (played by Chad Abrahams) – winner of the acclaimed B-TV “talk show idols” is yet again coming to the Baxter. She has a personal story that is engrossing, a brain that works overtime, and a mouth that knows no boundaries, while interviewing the most idiosyncratic guests on her talk show…
Together with her ever-nagging floor manager, Albert, the scene is set for yet another hilarious romp. This time Hadji Fatgiyah and her brand new quirky guests will be tackling (in true Cape Flats style & beyond) subjects such as how the trinity is encapsulated perfectly in the three-pointed samoosa. The team promises that humour will be plentiful and the characteristic universality of the varying
characters – even if the action is set in Walmer Estate in Cape Town.
This show will boast the old favourites, like ex Zumo wrestler Sisanda Gugushe, ex Miss Gay S.A. Felicity Mybergh and of course not-so-handy handyman, Boeta Rajee – all played by the inimitable Gary Naidoo. But the new characters are the surprises – both local and international. Try an Afrikaans-speaking Scotsman and a Jewish businesswoman who invented the luminous toilet seat that is now taking the world by storm…There’ll be the usual hilarious video footage and trailers, taking the mickey out of infomercials and movies. ’Nuf said.
Rafiek Mammon directs this dynamic new concept in comedy theatre.
